Welcome to the Graduate School of Global Business and Hospitality Management at Kyungsung University.

 

Our graduate programs from Kyungsung University have been leading future professionals in academics and fields from different parts of the world for a relatively short history. However, as a chairperson of the graduate programs, my source of pride lies in the innovative ways of teaching and competent professors in the various academic fields of Business Administration and Hospitality Management.

 

At Kyungsung University, students will get a profound learning experience from professors with diverse backgrounds and global perspectives. This means that our students have strong support from the university during their studies in a school that is located in a world-renowned tourism destination, Busan, Korea, a truly global city that fosters our students’ global business world.

Possible Majors

+ Global Marketing
The importance of marketing cannot be overestimated in current and future business, since it has a strategic role that drives business growth based on a deep knowledge of the customer. The global marketing program is designed for students who want to learn essential and digital marketing elements, understand consumers’ behaviour and learn to analyse and manage marketing resources in a global business environment. Students will know how to use various contemporary marketing and communication tools and learn to assess consumers’ needs by analysing international businesses' examples.

+ International Business
International business programs cover fundamental business practices and globalization concepts, including international marketing, trade operations, and finance policies. Oftentimes, these programs allow students to concentrate on specific foreign markets and integrate language training in their coursework. Highly specialized cross-cultural and communication skills allow international business majors to obtain many lucrative positions, both domestically and overseas.

+ Hospitality Management
Hospitality Management focuses on ensuring customer safety and comfort in a hotel, restaurant or entertainment facility. Hospitality Management centres on customer satisfaction that would lead to his loyalty and repeated business. Students in hospitality management usually have the opportunity to receive hands-on experience in real hospitality organisations. Hospitality Management integrates theories from similar disciplines like: Commerce, Business Administration and Supply Chain Management. Hospitality Management prepares students with the skills necessary to implement business development and quality management strategies. They will gain basic administrative abilities in order to control organisation, planning and scheduling activities.

+ Business Data Science
Data science is the study of collecting information generated in each field of society, and developing a methodology to analyze and interpret it. Accordingly, the major of Business Data Science provides students with education on scientific thinking and creativity as well as computer skills necessary for information analysis to produce personnel who can actively cope with the rapidly changing information society. Courses connect data science techniques to different fields in the business discipline.

+ Financial & Accounting Management
Financial & Accounting management examines the basic theory of the preparation of financial accounting information provided to external stakeholders of an entity, recognizes and measures assets, liabilities, capital, income, and expenses, and studies how they are used to make economic decisions for stakeholders. This major aims to understand the overall topic of management accounting. More specifically, the subject of cost types, the process of generating cost information, including ABCs, planning and control of standards and budgeting, decentralization and performance assessment, and performance evaluation indicators such as BSC and EVA are covered.

+ Human Resource Management
Human capital are an important resource for companies to secure competitive advantage and sustainable growth. Therefore, the human resource management (HRM) major learns and studies various perspectives, theories, and actual cases to understand people fundamentally and secure corporate competitiveness through human resources. The main purpose of this major is to help students grow into competent managers and professional HR by educating them on the importance of human resource management and theories and techniques of human resource management.
